Join us for presentations by Rachel Sharansky Danziger, daughter of Natan and Avital Sharansky.

Friday Night - Couches and Tables and Tents: Lessons from the Struggle for Soviet Jewry

Rachel will discuss some of the questions she grew up with as a product of that struggle, and what she learned as she tried to answer them, from the past (The struggle for Soviet Jewry), the present, and our texts.

5:30 pm – Minchah / Kabbalat Shabbat / Maariv
6:30 pm - Dinner  & Presentation

Shabbat Afternoon - What We Can Learn From Story-telling

Rachel will teach the story of Yitzchok and Rivkah's first encounter (which will be read that week) and bring together several story lines and what we can learn when we pay close attention to the storytelling. Her intention will be to show how this little story functions within an interwoven network of story units, and how, when we follow different threads within this network, we discover more and more layers of meaning.
