Meet Our Rabbi 

 

Rabbi Yitzchok Adler has been a community leader and educator since his election to Beth David’s pulpit in 1995. Rabbi Adler is frequently invited to address non-Jewish populations on matters of Bible study, theology, and modern Zionism. He is the longest serving member of faculty at Jewish Teen Learning Connection, which engages Jewish teens from across Greater Hartford in education and social connection.

Rabbi Adler is the Rabbinic Administrator of the Hartford Kashrut Commission. Additionally, Rabbi Adler is an experienced mohel and has performed the ritual of Brit Milah for hundreds of families in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and beyond. Rabbi Adler and his wife Leslie, a West Hartford public school teacher, raised their three children in West Harford and now have grandchildren in the US and Israel. The rabbi follows the Atlanta Braves and is a fan of UConn basketball.
